Job Description
Job Impulse Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior HV Systems Design Engineer (Automotive) in Greenville, South Carolina. Our client is a leader in the automotive industry, renowned for its commitment to innovation and quality. The Senior HV Systems Design Engineer will lead strategically significant projects related to the development of high-voltage connection systems.
Responsibilities of a Senior HV Systems Design Engineer (Automotive) include:
Developing and designing cutting-edge high-voltage connection systems from concept to mass production (e.g., terminals, housings, charging inlets, charging couplings).
Creating and implementing new development concepts based on market research, analysis, and future trends.
Coordinating design and development concepts with the product design team, product management, and other cross-functional teams.
Leading root cause analysis using established problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
Job Requirements of a Senior HV Systems Design Engineer (Automotive):
Completed studies in engineering (preferably in a related field).
At least 5 years of experience in product development of high-voltage connector systems in the automotive sector, adhering to the IATF 16949 standard.
Proficiency in applying Six Sigma/Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies in technology product and process development.
Experience and expertise in the manufacturing processes of HV connectors (using DFM & FMEA) and familiarity with industry standards (e.g., LV 214, USCAR 2, LV 215).
Excellent knowledge of English.
