Position Summary: The Senior National Account Manager (SNAM) at Sunday Riley is responsible for overseeing strategic account management, driving business growth, and maintaining high-level relationships with key retailers. This role requires advanced strategic planning, complex negotiations, and leadership in trade marketing and sales operations.


Responsibilities


Retail Partner Relationships:

  • Conducts successful negotiations on terms, pricing, distribution, visual merchandising, on-site visibility, and support with Buying and Merchandising teams.
  • Builds strong working relationships with the retail team, utilizing insights from the field and engaging the team in executing sales, events, and merchandising plans to ensure a cohesive but tailored approach with designated retailer partners.


VM opportunities and in-store efficiency

  • Oversees the negotiation of promotional visual merchandising placements.
  • Optimizes brand VM within the store, including location, number of shelves, and other factors.
  • Visits stores to see the rollout of VM and to do competitive research


Promotions:

  • Creates strategies for promotions to drive sales and product awareness


Digital Retailer Strategies:

  • Develops comprehensive strategies for retailer e-commerce promotion.
  • Focuses on maximizing online presence and driving digital sales through promotional activities (homepage placement, banners, emails, onsite distortion, bundles, app exposure, etc.).


Driving Performance:

  • Manages P&L for the account
  • Helps to create and drive in-store strategies, including events and customer engagement
  • Manages, monitors, and optimizes sales performance.
  • Ensures a bottoms up understanding of retail sales, including sell-in and sell-through.
  • Manages category and individual store performance to identify retail opportunities and strategic needs.
  • Builds and delivers against an annual retail sales target using product innovation, new stores, retail trends, and field support to build the sales plan.
  • Develops and delivers plans to maintain and drive top brand ranking across retail platforms.
  • Manages forecasting in partnership with the Retail Planner, ensuring accuracy for NPD and core lines.
  • Presents on winning competitor strategies


Cross-Functional Working:

  • Works closely with Operations, Visual Merchandising, Retail Planner, and Field Sales and Events to create and deliver an annual plan for each retailer covering activation of key launches and marketing moments, events, store/retailer animation, considering both customer acquisition and retention.
  • Reviews implementation and performance of the annual strategy vs expectations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Aligns launch, animation, and promotion plans with SRMS team – local and global – to ensure a consistent and phased plan across all retailers within the region, avoiding unnecessary conflicts of activity.
