Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager - TA is an effective consultant and collaborator who applies deep Talent Acquisition proficiency and skill to diagnose organizational needs and will thoughtfully demonstrate knowledge to implement customized hiring strategies and solutions. This position will assess all recruiting hiring and align process, systems, candidate experience, and brand to align with United's overall global talent strategy.

The main purpose of this position is the responsibility for ensuring the successful execution and management of the sourcing and recruiting processes necessary to ensure that United has the candidates needed to fill open positions and those positions that will open in the near future. This includes all hiring for the field across the nation and at all hubs/stations.

  • Provides strategic TA leadership and guidance in developing the sourcing and outreach strategy for internal and external hires
  • Build and maintain pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Effectively build relationships and provides strong business insight into hiring needs
  • Builds and maintains credibility at all levels within an organization
  • Create and implement progressive, coordinated recruitment strategies using direct sourcing, networking, referrals, and internet sourcing
  • Proactively manage expectations through consistent communications and updates to deliver excellent internal client and candidate experience
  • Applying talent and market insight, advise and guide hiring leaders on the most effective way to identify and attract top-tier diverse, talent
  • In conjunction with the Talent Acquisition leadership team and leadership, continually monitor and evaluate recruitment practices, including hiring and on-boarding practices, policies and systems to ensure the delivery of outstanding recruitment support
  • Track metrics to ensure a focus on continuous improvement
  • Develop recommendations for process and system improvements to support recruiting efforts more effectively
  • Coach, guide, develop and mentor team members to ensure they are well-equipped to meet agreed-upon objectives and deliverables
  • Serve as an active, highly participative member of the Talent Acquisition team
  • Serve as an ambassador and champion for positive change throughout the Talent Acquisition team
  • Oversee performance management of team – including training, career growth and individual development plans
  • Ensure legal compliance and adherence to established recruitment policies and procedures
  • Manage employment brand in community and participate in job fairs, networking events and recruiting efforts

The salary for this position is $114,750 to $168,300, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related field
  • 9+ years of HR/TA experience, with 3+ years of recruiting experience
  • Experience hiring, coaching/developing, and managing talent acquisition team members to ensure top performance against agreed-upon objectives
  • Experience working with organizations using best-in-class global recruitment processes and protocols
  • Experience coaching hiring managers in strategic and effective recruitment practices
  • Ability to help hiring managers realistically assess future hiring needs to ensure proactive staffing strategies and protocols
  • Highly effective, strategic problem solver and planner with demonstrated project leadership, organizational, analytical, needs analysis, strategic business, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Capability for thorough analysis; leading data driven approach to strategy development and organizational management
  • Demonstrates value in true teamwork and collaboration across the organization
  • A demonstrated passion for the delivery of exceptional customer/client service
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal presentation skills, with highly credible executive demeanor and presence
  • Comprehensive understanding of staffing, recruiting and operations practices, programs and plans
  • Comprehensive knowledge of staffing and recruiting program administration
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state laws and regulations relating to employment and Industry
  • Knowledge of candidate measurement, assessment and evaluation for talent selection
  • High commitment to customer focus
  • Commitment to recruitment best practices
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency and working knowledge of recruiting resources and tools (Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS, compliance, CRM)
  • Up to 30-50% travel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
