About the Role:

The Shopper Insights Manager at Heineken USA will develop high impact breakthrough learning and insight that will drive Channel & Customer strategies and activations to win in the marketplace. This individual will be responsible for synthesizing, developing, and communicating shopper learnings using diverse primary and syndicated research sources and analytics. This role will report directly to the Sr. Director, Shopper Insights as part of the CMI team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Consumer and Shopper tools and capabilities to synthesize data, glean insights and deliver shopper understanding throughout the Sales organization to directly impact changes in business strategy.
  • with cross functional sales and category development teams to develop a deep regional understanding of the channel shopper and use those insights to identify commercial regional opportunities for those channels.
  • with Revenue Management and brand teams on pricing strategy and pack assortment management.
  • in custom research and Nielsen Modelling studies
  • relationships with Regional Sales VPs and align on shopper learning agenda
  • commercial strategy leveraging HUSA Macro Spaces Segmentation for Distributor and Customer Growth Summits and Business Planning


Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Degree required, MBA preferred with concentration in market research, psychology, sociology, or marketing.
  • minimum of 5 – 7 years research and analytic experience having worked with sales and category development/management teams. Syndicated vendor experience in both client service and analytics preferred.
  • proficiency in the application of shopper learning and category centric research, such as:
  • Drivers, Price Elasticity and Trade Lift analysis
  • assortment optimization
  • of Volume, Buyer Flows and Demographic segmentation
  • conviction, collaboration, and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Uses the right research and processes to fill knowledge gaps and convert technical knowledge into practical applications
  • Insights: Provides illumination and how peoples’ attitudes drive their behaviors and partners with the business in enabling insight generation
  • Problem Solving: Identifies, defines and answers the right questions to resolve business problems/identify business opportunities effectively and efficiently
  • Synthesis: Harness and leverage existing knowledge to address existing business issues/opportunities or to surface new ones.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000 + Annual Bonus
  • Benefits - Medical/Dental/Vision + Matching 401k Plan
  • Vacation – 20 Days Paid Vacation & Unlimited Sick Days
  • $200 Monthly Beverage Allowance
