This role will introduce Lean Six Sigma disciplines to our transaction operations processes to develop highly efficient and accurate mechanisms to execute Real Estate transactions. These mechanisms will maximize current best practices while leaning into innovative concepts to develop next-generation processes to evolve real estate transaction processing.

Candidates for this role will be certified Black Belts in lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies and will be able to demonstrate results from leveraging Lean/Six Sigma-based continuous improvement methodologies. You will drive speed, quality, and simplification by eliminating rework loops, reducing and automating manual work and hand-offs, identifying and implementing best practices across the business, and minimizing process variability through standardization and automation. You will develop discovery learning through DMAIC mapping, Kaizen events, and by supporting critical programs and projects.

The Sr. Manager of Process Excellence will leverage data insights to identify operational efficiency opportunities and solve for underlying root causes. You will implement solutions that improve real estate transaction processing that benefits both Compass operations staff as well as Compass Agents. This individual will thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced, dynamic environment and will create an environment that is relentlessly focused on continuous improvement.

The successful candidate must have proven experience leading a team, driving platform-level process improvement, a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and experience leveraging data to drive informed decisions.

At Compass You Will

  • Be the single-threaded owner of high-impact Lean Six Sigma projects leveraging DMAIC, Kaisen and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Define, track, and improve metrics that speak to the effectiveness of the tactics we employ.
  • Evolve the strategy for how the team approaches continuous process improvement.
  • Partner closely with our analysts to define customer segments and create success criteria to measure the impact of Continuous Improvement efforts against goals.
  • Evaluate and map the entire end-to-end transaction process, and the interdependent systems and tools available.
  • Advance a culture of continuous improvement and be the benchmark for future expansion of the Customer Excellence program across the entire company.
  • Partner with Product Managers to optimize in-product features to increase staff efficiency and reduce redundant tools and processes.
  • Establish and report on weekly results through flash reports, and update meetings to keep leadership and stakeholders informed on progress.
  • Mentor/coach direct reports in topics such as change management, project management, and/or data analysis.

What We Look For

  • Lean Process Management Black Belt or greater qualifications.
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role, with 3+ years of program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree in a quantitative field or an MBA a plus
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a willingness to operate at both highly strategic levels - to define customer problems/marketing/positioning of our products - and also at very tactical levels, such as launching a product to our internal teams or to customers in close collaboration with multiple business functions.
  • Extensive experience with process improvement and change managementOutstanding communication skills - written and verbal - with the ability to tailor messaging strategy for different audiences.
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, people and communication skills, including strong writing abilities and proven experience communicating key value messages to a variety of audiences both internal and external to Compass.
  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, multitask, and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace with a bias towards action.
  • Strong proficiency in sourcing and analyzing the data needed to make effective marketing campaign decisions as well as a high comfort level in operating with and making decisions with partial informationStrong soft skills and experience managing with empathy, including the ability to face challenges with a positive attitude.

The base pay range for this position is $178,700-$218,400 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
