About the Role:

CHANEL is looking for a Northeast Regional Training Senior Manager to join our Fashion Education Team in New York City. You will play a lead role in supporting the development of the Northeast Regional Boutique teams via the implementation of educational initiatives, close collaborations with Style Expertise and on-the-floor coaching to further strengthen the best-in-class experience for CHANEL clients. This role interfaces with Boutique Leadership Teams and Home Office teams to develop a holistic view of training opportunities, while identifying root causes and highlighting Fashion Division priorities, to then suggest and deliver learning-based solutions that align with the organizational goals and objectives. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience and a passion for identifying and responding to training needs at the Boutique level with an eye to overall consistency across all doors.

What impact you can create at CHANEL:


  • Develop, lead and facilitate in-store training modules on product knowledge, service behaviors and selling skills
  • Spend four days each week in Boutiques coaching on service and product knowledge
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, digital training, and engaging interactions with the team
  • Work closely with Home Office leadership and Boutique Leadership Teams to identify learning gaps to refine and develop strategies and implementation of key programs
  • Lead/mentor Boutique Education Managers in the NE Region with facilitation skills, content creation, general development, etc.
  • Facilitate New Hire and Developmental presentations for NE market
  • Identify market-specific training content needs and communicate to broader Education team
  • Review boutique business and service trends prior to visits and work with BLT to identify relevant learning-based solutions and coaching opportunities
  • In collaboration with Fashion Education, help propose and organize a training calendar to effectively execute on the needs of the Boutiques
  • Support the Boutique Leadership Team to monitor the quality and impact of training execution via follow up analysis

  • Strong partnership with Boutique Leadership Team, Regional Retail Leaders and Fashion Education team to help identify individual training needs
  • Actively coaching team members on expected service and sales behaviors on the sales floor
  • Organizing, setting up and helping to animate in-depth product and service trainings
  • Acting as liaison between Boutiques and Home Office on digital learning matters
  • Ensuring teams have completed necessary prep work before trainings
  • Collaborating with broader Education team to build and edit content sent from Global team
  • Partnering with Style Expertise team to upskill and enhance learning around seasonal collections
  • Acting as a Brand Ambassador while in Boutiques


What you will bring to the team:


  • Preferred experience in Fashion Retail
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including outstanding facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and coach others, while also building and fostering a team-focused culture. Including and not limited to a high comfort level with giving feedback
  • Ability to communication clearly, concisely and persuasively with both large and small groups
  • Highly creative energy with the ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlines. Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to manage and track travel budget


Position Logistics:


  • Minimum 7 Years Training and/or Organizational Development Experience
  • Must be able to work independently and transparently, possessing the judgment to provide frequent, concise, and cogent management updates to US and Global Paris teams
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility in working within a continually evolving and demanding environment
  • Travel—up to 70% of time (Domestic)

Compensation:


  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 through $128,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
