We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic Legal team to protect Entrata’s interests. This position will provide counsel on various legal issues facing the company and will work collaboratively with the legal team and with other individuals inside and outside the company.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product teams to ensure compliance with the ongoing product operation as well as new products or features, including mapping out legal requirements for any new and existing features
  • Researching legal updates across the country impacting all products, including updating contracts and product compliance
  • Advise senior management on legal risks with operations of the business within the position’s responsibilities
  • Work with contracts team to draft product-specific terms and conditions, as well as negotiate contracts with vendors and customers
  • Direct the work of outside counsel as related to the roles and responsibilities of the position, domestically and internationally


Minimum Qualifications

  • JD from ABA-accredited law school
  • Membership in Utah Bar in good standing (or home state also an option for remote).
  • 6+ years of experience in law firm or in-house setting.
  • Willing to adjust roles to the needs of the legal team, and ability to quickly adapt to changing representational needs of the company.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within multi-family
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new relevant industry, legal, and regulatory information, and apply knowledge to specific issues or situations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment related to sensitive matters.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload with strict deadlines in a highly autonomous environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in multi-family industry, on software or client side
  • Experience in the software, technology, or SaaS industry.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-family.
  • Familiarity with property management and real estate operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in commercial contracts, and experience with SaaS contracts a plus
