Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

We are representing a global financial services organization that is in the process of building out their finance division in NYC to support their $16b swap dealer trading business. I’m working directly with the MD and the new CFO of the bank who is looking to bring on 2 new AVPs of Finance to support their derivatives trading business. This particular business has $16b on its balance sheet and has a forecasted a plan for expansion over the next 3 years.

This is a big job for the firm as you’ll be working directly with the US Controller, CFO and other senior level stakeholders while being full involved in various trading areas.

It’s a rather unique position as it will encompass various responsibilities including:

• Controllership Functions
• FP&A
• Regulatory Reporting
• Oversight of Product Control for trading activities

They only work in the office 1-2x a week and have no plans on returning to office full time.

Compensation wise, they are paying up to $125k base + 15-20% bonus + 401k match + pension plan.

Details:

• Prepare month-end close deliverables , preparation of all supporting schedules including balance sheet reconciliations, balance sheet and revenue / expenses variance analysis.
• Ensure financial statements are presented accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with daily P&L production of various derivative and swap security trading
• Assists in preparation and review of various internal management reports, external reporting, and year-end audited financial statements.
• Assist with interim/annual audit processes with internal and external auditors.
• Work closely with Product Control, Regulatory Reporting, and Planning teams to provide excellent internal customer service.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of accounting policies, processes and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to internal control processes and procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience from a national public accounting firm or investment bank with exposure to accounting for capital markets trading and / or broker/swap dealers
