Senior Finance Business Partner

A large software company located in Waltham, MA is active in their search to hire a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team. The Senior Finance Business Partner role will involve collaborating closely with our Sales Management team, offering comprehensive financial support and reporting. Within our diverse organization spanning multiple product lines and industries, you'll engage with various stakeholders to help shape our strategic direction and oversee its implementation. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of FP&A for Sales Performance in North America, you'll collaborate closely with other members of the NAM FP&A team responsible for both direct and indirect sales channels. Your main focus will be acting as a strategic partner to our largest sales organization, with particular emphasis on streamlining processes through automation and maximizing the utility of advanced data analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial planning, forecasting, and reporting services for our North American Sales Organization, delivering insights at the GEO level.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis for the business unit, tackling complex challenges and driving problem-solving initiatives.
• Drive the automation of manual data collection processes, freeing up resources for more impactful analysis, and advocate for the adoption of innovative technologies to enhance efficiency and relevance.
• Take the lead in the planning cycle for the business unit, overseeing strategic planning, annual operating plans, and quarterly forecasts within a matrixed financial environment, ensuring alignment with other business segments such as product lines, industry groups, or marketing.
• Play a key role in our weekly business reviews, collaborating closely with sales and business operations teams to ensure accurate deal tracking and smooth conversion from bookings to revenue.
• Analyze financial and business performance against key metrics, identifying notable highlights and facilitating understanding of progress against strategic plans while highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
• Act as a thought leader, partnering with management to foster finance discipline, facilitate fact-based decision-making, and enhance financial visibility across the organization through the extensive use of financial models.
• Generate ad hoc analyses to support critical business decisions and facilitate successful contract negotiations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• 5+ years of progressive corporate finance experience
• Demonstrated experience business partnering with sales
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
