Team Overview


The Annalect Finance team is comprised of members in the US and India supporting multiple Lines of Business and P&Ls. We are a tenured and supportive group who enjoy Annalect’s dynamic environment and engaging company culture.


The Finance group includes sub-functions including, Client Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Finance Support and Billing Operations. Collectively, the team is responsible for executing month-end close, monthly forecasting, variance reporting, internal management reporting, profitability management, financial modeling to support new projects and investments. We partner with Annalect leadership and work closely with internal agency partners, corporate groups, and network shared services teams.


Position Overview


Annalect is seeking a seasoned Senior Finance Director (VP Level) with 15+ years of experience, who possesses superior financial operations, accounting, reporting and analysis skills as well as excellent talent management and interpersonal communication skills. Reporting to the CFO/COO, this position is responsible for directing day-to-day operations of the Finance team and all deliverables. Major areas of responsibility include direct business partnership with stakeholders, Financial Planning and Analysis, Client Finance, investment management and numerous strategic initiatives. We are looking for a strong leader and manager accustomed to driving talent transformation on the Finance team, while evolving operational processes, policies and systems. Our business delivers consistent, significant growth requiring strategic investments in talent and infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the day-to-day financial operations of the Finance team with full accountability for all timely and accurate deliverables
  • Management of the Finance team, while ensuring that members are empowered, properly supported and accountable for delivering set objectives. You will monitor and assess department work quality with a focus on driving greater efficiency and optimal resource utilization
  • In addition to strong management skills, this role is best suited for someone who knows when to remain hands-on and be accountable for personal deliverables.
  • Manage and support the FP&A Director and team with the following
  • Month-end close and monthly reforecasts
  • Ensure timely reporting of all monthly financial information to internal management and external stakeholders
  • Drive preparation of annual budgets and budget presentations
  • Monitor and implement all accounting/reporting changes and requirements issued by network group Finance and Accounting teams
  • Manage and support the Client Finance team with revenue accounting, client billing, pricing, profitability analysis and modeling
  • Work closely with business leads and internal partners to provide financial support and guidance
  • Ensure all appropriate internal controls have been identified, developed and maintained


Required Skills And Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred / MBA a plus)
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience
  • Experience within Technology Services or Advertising Agency / Digital Media companies is highly preferred
  • Experience with both FP&A and Client Finance
  • Experience managing a large, multi-functional finance team
  • Experience working within a business unit of a public corporation with multiple P&Ls/depts is highly preferred
  • Experience with labor-based cost tracking is highly preferred
  • Must have advanced accounting, analytical and reporting skills with strong business acumen
  • Very strong management skills. Directing, delegating, performance management and inspiring talent
  • Experience with identifying and executing process improvements
  • Must have exceptional Excel skills and financial modeling
  • Easily and methodically flow from delegation of tasks to knowing when to roll-up sleeves
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all levels
  • Team player who can function well in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and work within strict deadlines

Compensation Range: $175,000 to $240,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
