About The Team

The Marketing Campaign Analytics team is the data-driven backbone behind Roku's marketing campaigns for players, TVs, and Smart Home devices. We work closely with marketing teams to define key metrics and test plans to optimize our marketing campaigns. By analyzing this data, the team uncovers insights into improving our marketing campaigns to generate the most value possible for the company. Ultimately, our work helps ensure that the company delivers relevant, high quality, marketing campaigns that resonate with customers and build loyalty.

About The Role

This position will be responsible for retail marketing analytics for Roku's digital and in-store marketing campaigns, paid media analytics, and web analytics for Roku.com. Areas of responsibility will include: designing measurement plans to capture the value created by our retail marketing efforts, designing test plans to maximize conversion from our paid media campaigns, and optimizing our direct-to-consumer web funnel. You’ll focus on: opportunities to measure hard-to-measure marketing tactics, increase conversions, understand customer segments and CLV, and share your findings with business partners and senior leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with retail marketing, digital marketing, and direct-to-consumer sales teams to get the most out of our marketing
  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities and provide recommendations based on self-led ad hoc and deeper dive analyses
  • Clearly and concisely present analysis conclusions and recommended actions to business leaders and executive audiences
  • Develop automated insightful dashboards and pipelines that support business stakeholders’ self-service data needs and allow them to make decisions quickly
  • Help establish learning agenda and continuous impactful A/B testing program
  • Develop, document, and promote best practices to champion a hypothesis-driven culture
  • Advance our ability to measure the true value of our marketing campaigns
  • Help expand marketing personalization efforts with strategic customer segmentation analyses & insights

We’re excited if you have

  • A bachelor's degree in math, physics, computer science, economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant marketing analytics experience
  • Subject matter expert in marketing analytics and advanced knowledge of testing methodologies and frameworks
  • Strong SQL Skills
  • Expertise with Google or Adobe Analytics and a BI tool such as Looker or Tableau, from data transformation & modeling to creating measures to data visualization & insights
  • Experience in R/Python is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic business outcomes, with a structured and data-driven approach to business problem solving
  • Deep knowledge of experimental design and causal inference methods
  • Highly independent and able to manage relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong data visualization and action-oriented narrative for stakeholder and executive audiences
