The Opportunity

The Senior Brand Marketing Director leads the Color Makeup & Niche Fragrance business for North America. This person will run this "hub" with tactful business and market strategy while using their extensive experience in luxury color makeup (lip, eye, cheek, nail) and fragrances in order to make recommendations, decisions, and grow the business overall. This person will create a 360-marketing strategy with fresh ideas in digital/social, and drive the implementation of impactful executions. A key part of this role is building and maintaining successful partnerships with our HQ in Spain, and Global Partners throughout Europe, while also being a strong cross-functional team player and people manager for the US team. Brands include Christian Louboutin Beaute, Penhaligons, L'Artisan Parfumeur, and Dries Van Noten.


What you’ll get to do

  • Lead recommendations for strategy in North America.
  • Serve as the champion of brand image and consumer experience.
  • Conduct brand, market, and competitive analysis, and recommend strategic decisions based on insights.
  • Propose new product and promotional ideas for North America market.
  • Implement powerful 360 executions to engage consumers, drive sales, and achieve objectives for market share, net revenues, and profitability.
  • Create seasonal calendars with a focus on key launches. Implement media, promotional plan & animation/event, in collaboration with all departments.
  • Manage agency partners and programs and creative services providers.
  • Present seasonal programs to retail partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and HQ to ensure business success.
  • Assist Global teams on product development, brand content, and media programs’ execution.
  • Partner with Sales team on marketing plans by retailer, “retailtainment”, and events by brand.
  • Align with Demand Planning/Operations team on launch planning, tracking, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Finance team on budget planning and reporting.
  • Actively manage marketing budget as well as each brand’s P&L including:
  • Annual budget of all above-the-line and below-the-line activities,
  • Actively monitor and manage investments in POS materials and animations (analyzing ROI/profitability per action and proposing improvements for future).
  • Forecast seasonal POS materials, new launches, and animation materials.
  • Monitor product stock levels, playing an active role in controlling inventory levels and forecasts.
  • Create plan for use of excess/discontinued inventory.


We’d love to meet you if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 7-10 years of beauty marketing or similar experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of color/makeup experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge in Niche Fragrances.
  • Previous experience with licensed brands is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of brand image protection.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Versatile, flexible, and adaptable to business needs while keeping an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Driven to learn, grow, and prioritize efficiently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong follow-up, initiative, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive, reliable attitude.

Compensation

As required by New York State's salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $190,000.00 - $220,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
