Responsibilities include but are not limited:


Lead the team of 4 accountants and direct and oversee all aspects of local accounting functions including but not limited to: payroll and employee costs, leases, fixed assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliation of cash activities.


Lead the monthly financial close process including preparation of the financial reports and analysis of the results against budget and forecasts, and issue of the supporting schedules and notes.


Oversee and budgeting and forecasting activities.


Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit. Oversee timely submission of the supporting information for the periodic sales tax reporting and annual income tax filing.


Collaborate with Group Accounting and Financial reporting teams to ensure that financial information is accounted and presented in compliance with the group financial reporting requirement and accounting policies and timelines are met.


Participate in strategic financial projects including implementation of new ERP and reporting systems.


Provide continued support to the various business functions and focus on cost saving activities and improvement of the business practices.


To be successful in this position we require the following job-specific competencies:

  • Leadership capabilities and prior supervisory experience
  • Solid operational and technical accounting background
  • An excellent team player that will liaise and effectively collaborate with the Senior Leadership team and their respective departments, Group Finance team and outside providers.


Technical, educational and experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance
  • CPA is strongly preferred
  • 7 – 10 Years of accounting experience; supervisory experience required
  • A solid understanding of US GAAP, general accounting processes and internal controls, and financial analysis tools and techniques is essential
  • Advanced Excel skills are required including proficiency in Excel formulas and pivot tables.
  • Experience in retail environment is a plus.
  • Advanced analytical problem-solving skills
