SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) Business Analyst

Our cilent has an exciting opportunity in their Information Technology group. We are looking for an IT Group Reporting and Business Planning and Consolidation Analyst to join their growing organization and support our Enterprise Planning and Corporate Finance organizations. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, and able to work in a team environment and independently.
You will:
Analyze business strategy and user needs, document specifications, and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications.
Assist in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how these automated functions are integrated into the rest of the business and technical processes.
Guide business customers through business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk / impact analysis.
Work with BW, Development, and Integration teams to ensure effective integration between BPC and related applications.
Formulate and define system scope and objectives through search and fact-finding.
Support, test, and enhance complex information systems and develop adequate error management functionality within assigned applications.
Build test plans, test cases, perform functional testing and assure proper user acceptance testing.
Support activities for assigned applications and assure secondary resources are defined and are well trained to support the application.
Track problems, enhancement requests and suggestion for assigned applications.
Recommend changes and modify procedures to solve complex problems.
Work with vendors to coordinate project and development tasks, and resolve issues as they arise.
Provide new user training on supported applications as requested.
Basic Qualifications: (required)
7 to 10 years of Group Reporting and Business Planning & Consolidation experience to include:
Business process definition, requirements definition, and development and support of integrated business applications
Analyzing SAP Group Reporting and BPC solutions utilizing Group Reporting and BPC applications
Implementation and support of SAP Group Reporting and BPC application
System development methodologies and process mapping
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management Information Systems, or related field
Business Analyst Certification (CBAP)
Experience with case tools, MS SQL server, Visual Basic, Project, SharePoint, and Visio
Ability to be on-call to provide support after business hours as needed
