Sales Recruiter
Take on a unique opportunity: recruit for a company that builds tools for recruiters. Our hiring philosophy is all about collaboration and you’ll be at the helm of our company’s most strategic effort, focusing on the most critical measure of the organizational-wide success: sales and growth.
Your primary responsibility will be partnering with our VP of Sales to spearhead our hiring efforts and to help us hit aggressive growth goals. We’re talking really aggressive. You know the typical portfolio of recruiter (reviewing resumes, phone screens, coordinating interviews, and managing offers). This time though, you’ll be in a place where everyone from top to bottom, across all teams, take hiring seriously. The whole team will be fully support you and more than ever, you’ll have more agency to drive and create hiring initiatives the way you envision it.
And if you’re interested, help us build a community around Lever’s user base of recruiting professionals – organize events, run meetups, attend conferences – and step up to be a visible, public member of our team.
In terms of what we’re looking for, past tenure at a hyper-growth startup is ideal. You should be data-driven and passionate about constant improvement, with a “whatever it takes to get it done” attitude. Hopefully you consider yourself a competitive person - the top talent you’re working with will be, and you’ll be fighting other companies for them! Proven interest in the intersection of recruiting and tech will also be a huge plus – we’d love you to share any of your blogposts, Quora activity, presentations/talks, Meetup attendance, etc. Most important of all is understanding of people: perspectives/motivation of candidates and ability to connect people to right opportunities, as well as using your people skills to partner with hiring managers in meeting growth goals.

- Be fully integrated into the sales team and start developing relationships with hiring managers to understand roles and talent needs
- Learn the unique art of role profiles, not job descriptions, that we use at Lever. We’re innovators in the hiring space, and we practice what we preach
- Learn the product - you’re going to use Lever to hire for Lever!
- Dive into sourcing to seek out, engage, and nurture relationships with top sales talent.
- Perfect the Lever pitch - you can talk to anyone about our opportunities and get them pumped
- Be the ultimate juggler in managing a talent pipeline and not letting a single ball drop
- Drive decisions within hiring committees and take on the challenge of closing people who are masters at closing themselves
- Use data and your own instincts to identify inefficiencies and innovate / improve
- Design and own a flawlessly positive and empowering candidate experience
- Be completely at home as a critical member of the sales team, with a deep understanding of the team’s talent needs and staying one step ahead of the growth
- Begin scaling out our sales recruiting org, be ready to step up into greater responsibilities
