Robotics/UAV Internship (In Person)
Darkhive is making robotics accessible. We are a startup focused on the application of robotics to the public safety and defense community. Our approach in accessibility is built on three pillars of low-cost, ease-of-use, and open interface design to enable extensibility by third parties.
Darkhive is creating a palm-sized, autonomous drone optimized to demonstrate the capabilities of our software stack. The integrated software and hardware solution are key to realizing the full potential of the product in our target markets.
If you have a desire to learn more through an internship about computer vision, planning, electronics manufacturing, radio communications, controls, or state estimation in San Antonio -- reach out.
The Role:
As an intern at Darkhive you will have the opportunity to tackle multiple problems while also getting hands-on with software and hardware. The start of your internship will involve developing areas of focus for the period of your internship based on your interests and talents. Areas include autopilot hardening, drivers, localization algorithm development, selection and validation of optics through test, radio antenna development and testing, GNSS module design and validation. These are real design decisions you will own and contribute directly to on our small team!
