Job Description
The Research Student Assistant will work under close supervision to assist with the behavioral research program within the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. The research program includes a focus on sexual and reproductive health including HIV/STI prevention, LGBTQI youth, substance misuse, mental health support, among other areas specific to adolescents and young adults. The main duties of this position will be to support faculty and staff with critical research-related tasks including those related to data collection, cleaning, and organization, among other assignments. This research student assistant position is ideal for an upper-division undergraduate student (i.e., Junior/Senior) or graduate student with a background and interest in psychology, social work, public health, or medicine.
The research student assistant will gain valuable experience in social and behavioral Research.

Essential Job Functions:
- Follow research protocols as directed when applicable.
- Collect, record, and organize data.
- Maintain accurate records of data collection.
- Other research project specific duties as assigned.
- Experience with REDCap, SPSS and STATA is not required, but preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in face-to-face interactions with research staff, physicians, and administrative staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
