About The Job
The IoT analytics team is looking for a Research Statistician Developer to develop cutting edge analytics for IoT applications. Join our team to become a part of the IoT revolution.
As a Research Statistician Developer, You Will
- Develop high-quality statistical software by designing, programming, testing, and documenting code.
- Research and select appropriate statistical methods and computational algorithms.
- Advance SAS’ leadership position in the market for statistical software by understanding and anticipating customer needs.
- Builds expertise in one or more specialized areas of statistics by participation in research conferences and professional activities.
- Work closely with technical support and testing groups.
- PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related area.
- 5yrs of experience in programming
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Experience writing large programs in a numerical computing language like Julia, Matlab, Mathematica, Maple, R, and SAS/IML or in a low-level language like C, C++, Fortran.
- You should have a strong background in computational mathematics, especially in numerical linear algebra and operations research.
- You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
- An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
- Familiarity with numerical libraries like LAPACK and GSL.
- Experience writing cache and gpu aware programs in C.
- Experience writing commercial software.
