Our interprofessional care teams, which include physicians, nurses, social workers, and patient navigators, provide high-touch and comprehensive care to a small panel of patients. Team collaboration is essential to our intensive, psycho-social model of care which includes assessment, medication management, social management, and behavioral health management.

Job Description

Under the guidance of Technology leadership, the Reporting Manager will partner with various stakeholders within the organization to gather, document, and prioritize all reporting requirements. The Reporting Manager will design and develop metrics, reports, and analyses to drive key business decisions. He/she will need to understand and interpret enterprise data for the primary areas within Operations, Finance, and Clinical Services.

This person will also design and implement new reports, validate, maintain, and modify existing reports, and create a variety of custom dashboards to visualize complex data sets leading to improved outcomes throughout the enterprise. He/she will provide a link between management and reporting, which will require strong analytical, critical thinking, and communications skills. This individual will need to leverage the knowledge and skills of others within the technology team and other business units to fulfill his/her responsibilities requiring significant team and consensus building and skills.

Duties And Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Deliver reports to the organization, via both Excel and PowerBI
  • Examine existing reports to understand current operational performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement
  • Collect and document reporting requirements from stakeholders
  • Build and maintain reporting request backlog
  • Assemble and analyze data for business reports, making sure data and calculations are accurate
  • Understand operational data structures and output documents from SQL queries
  • Work with Data Architect to Document data structure/definitions for meta-data, data mapping, warehousing and reporting requirements 
  • Monitor and resolve performance issues of different dashboards, optimizing their use
  • Create new metrics, analyses, and reports to further understand business operations and satisfy gaps in understanding
  • Work with leadership to track KPIs, create reports, and develop dashboards related to large corporate initiatives
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and reports at leadership’s request
  • Provide action-oriented recommendations to leadership based on data-driven evidence and reporting trends
  • Collect supplemental information by engaging in dialogue with leadership and staff and observing processes
  • Present quantitative and qualitative data in such a way that it demonstrates a purpose-drive approach and supports recommendations
  • Assist with routine staffing analysis compilation
  • Manage time effectively

  • Assist other departments as needed


Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, report development, and business analytics
  • Extensive skills with MSSQL Server, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI
  • Experience writing and executing T-SQL queries and creating PowerBI reports to create impactful reports and dashboards
  • Experience integrating data analysis into business operations (i.e., assisting with business intelligence)
  • Past healthcare experience or an understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial offerings
  • Excellent visualization and storytelling experience regarding the creation of charts, bars, images, dynamic reports, etc. for a purpose
  • Expertise in delivery technologies and data access, including familiarity with metadata, data organization, data quality assessment, and data profiling
  • Data-driven troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Foundational understanding of relational database functionality
  • Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and recommend new solutions
  • Ability to rapidly assess, analyze and resolve complicated issues, and distill that complexity into simple and concise communication
  • Highly detail-oriented personality with desire to organize and structure tasks and processes
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and functional areas
  • Highly motivated individual who is willing to work in a dynamic setting
