Position Title: Regional Sales Director

Location: Metro Atlanta

Reports to: VP of Sales

Direct Reports: To be defined and outlined in the role. Up to 10 Sales Managers, subject to change.


Position Summary: The Regional Sales Director will align with the Vice President of Sales in driving profitable growth and revenue for the business. This person will be a key business partner and high-impact resource in defining and executing Wahsega’s growth throughout North America. Critical to their success will be growing sales of existing and new products through the expansion of sales into private and public school district markets. The Regional Sales Director must be adept and agile to work effectively across a wide spectrum of markets and complex go-to-market models to drive expanded usage and market share. The Regional Sales Director will be an effective leader in establishing and maintaining strong customer and integration partner relationships. As such, this person will be an effective leader at all levels, with both strong relationships as well as strategic business skills who can effectively rally and lead the organization to new levels of growth and financial success.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide sales leadership to Sales Managers and 20-45 Account Executives.
  • Directs all phases of sales management including but not limited to recruiting, training, motivating, supervision, market coverage, performance evaluation, compensation, establishing budgets, reviewing promotional programs and activity reports.
  • Align and provide leadership and accountability for top-line revenue goals within defined company margin criteria, customer satisfaction, and bottom-line results.
  • Appraise regularly and systematically the performance/effectiveness of available resources, strategies, tactics, policies, and procedures to ensure that stated sales and profitability objectives are met.
  • Serve as a key member of the Wahsega leadership team; provide insight into customer needs and preferences, competitive dynamics, and market trends.
  • Strategically evolve the go-to-market model to position for future success. Focusing on both new business and recurring revenue streams.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with partners and appropriate school district personnel, establishing Key Opinion Leaders for Wahsega.
  • Drive employee culture around new ideas and initiatives that help the customer-facing organization create deeper, more meaningful customer relationships across all customer segments.
  • Recruit and develop a team that cultivates and fosters an environment of high performance, using performance management methodologies, employee development, career progression, compensation, rewards, and recognition.
  • Inspire talent attraction, retention, and bench cultivation.
  • Must reach and exceed pipeline generation goals that fuel our revenue growth.
  • Must reach and exceed aggressive revenue growth goals.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or any related area is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience across sales, marketing, and business leadership.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team of sales managers.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; understands and utilizes metrics/measurement to ensure success.
  • Technical competency and ability to learn and understand new technologies.
  • Prior experience in working in fast-paced, growth-focused environments.
  • Proven capability in driving profitable growth.
  • Experienced in establishing new businesses, new divisions, new technologies, and/or new products is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing new systems with a track record of implementation.
  • Proven and tested human resource skills and people leadership is a must.
  • Outstanding, demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
