We’re looking for friendly, professional, and motivated Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. The HR Recruiter is responsible for sourcing potential candidates by using all available resources, while ensuring fair, consistent, and lawful practices.


Schedule: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday

Pay: $50,000 - $60,000 annually

Location: must be local to Chicago, and able to work on-site in the Downtown Chicago office two times per week

DAY TO DAY

  • Source potential candidates by using resources, referrals, cold calling, etc. ensuring fair, consistent, and lawful practices.
  • Maintain applicant and client tracking database. Develop new talent pool through creative and innovative sourcing.
  • Post job descriptions through job boards and other forums. Source and identify viable applicants through the use of job boards and other methods. Extensive use of keyword searches to build quality pipelines.
  • Phone screen and interview large quantities of candidates based on department needs.
  • Convey a positive and professional image to internal and external clients by providing effective communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Screen qualified applicants against the job description over the phone or through face-to-face interviews to gauge skills and specific lines of questioning used to rule out unqualified candidates.
  • Regularly touch base with the Hiring Managers to identify staffing needs, as well as pertinent lines of questioning for interview purposes.
  • Present qualified and pre-screened resumes to Hiring Managers with preparedness to answer any questions regarding the candidates’ qualifications and background.
  • Negotiate appropriate starting salary within compensation and budgetary constraints.
  • Follow up with all candidates throughout the hiring process, request referrals, and use a database to track and build a solid network of candidates who may fit future job opportunities within the company.
  • Ensure that the department experience is managed in a positive and professional manner by customizing candidate search to their needs.
  • Create and maintain appropriate reporting regarding candidate flow—applications, phone screens, interviews, and hires.

WHAT YOU MUST POSSESS

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience including high-volume recruiting experience
  • Experience in a call center/contact center environment is highly preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a successful team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and sales skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience required (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Capable of handling high volume requests in a timely manner
  • Proven full cycle recruitment of exempt and non-exempt positions
