Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review and analyze the existing property tax protest model in Excel.
- Identify areas for enhancement and offer strategic recommendations to improve the model's precision and alignment with Texas regulations.
- Collaborate on the development and execution of adjustment calculations within the model, taking into account various factors including market dynamics, property specifics, comparable sales data, depreciation, and obsolescence, in accordance with Texas property tax laws.
- Ensure seamless integration of adjustment calculations into the Excel model.
- Conduct rigorous testing of the model's functionality and accuracy using real-world data.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and provide clear explanations for adjustment calculations and methodologies employed.
- Work closely with our team to finalize the model and ensure its readiness for property tax protest submissions.
- Preferred: Hold a Certified General Appraiser license in Texas.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in property appraisals, ideally with a focus on property tax protests.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of Texas property tax laws and appraisal methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a knack for navigating complex formulas and functions.
- Exhibit exceptional analytical prowess and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail coupled with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
