Quantitative Trader

This successful algorithmic market maker has enjoyed phenomenal growth since foundation. As a result the Trading team in seeking to grow with the addition of a Quant Trader in New York. The right person will be motivated to continue to develop and build their career at the forefront of technological innovation within the financial markets.

The Role

• Undertake preliminary research into new trading strategies
• Collaborate with researchers and provide real-time feedback for model optimization
• Leverage trading metrics and data analysis to optimise strategies
• Proactive involvement with projects to explore new markets
• Supervise trading strategies and provide first level support
• Risk management of global portfolio across multiple asset classes
• Liaise with brokers, exchanges and internal stakeholders
• Partner with counterparties to optimize trading parameters and improve liquidity

Technical Skills and Experience

• Prior experience trading in electronic markets in one or more of FX, Equities or Futures
• Strengths in: data analytics; automation processes through coding; new trading idea generation via innovative thought
• Previous experience working on a highly automated trading environment
• Must be proactive and have an innovative mindset
• Independent thinker, continually striving to generate new ideas and improve processes
• Will be required to initiate and take responsibility for projects
• Should have a deep understanding of the trading strategies
• Able to engage and work effectively with different teams
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Graduate in a math/science discipline such as mathematics, statistics, physics or computer science
