Quality Control Manager:

The General Manager of Quality Control at my client is responsible for overseeing and optimizing general operations within the organization, with a focus on quality control. This role requires effective leadership, coordination, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure efficient production management, operations, sales, and HR participation.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reporting to VP - Engine Trading Group.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with two on-site stakeholders and VP Sales
  • Direct reports: Shop supervisors and Precise sales team

Principal Responsibilities and Activities:

  1. Production Management
  • Develop and evaluate QA processes, work instructions, and procedures to support continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely identification and tracking of all parts requirements for each engine input.
  • Establish and communicate timelines for each engine input, prioritizing and reporting effectively.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for project flow, checklists, etc., in accordance with quality and operations manuals.
  1. Operations Management
  • Lead root cause and corrective action activities on all identified non-conformities.
  • Identify, price, and catalog procurement of equipment and tooling requirements.
  • Review and establish new capabilities for planned growth, including participation in annual forecasting and budget plans.
  • Introduce systems for more efficient control of workmanship and business operations.
  1. Sales and Marketing Communications
  • Act as quality manager during customer site visits.
  • Coordinate proactively with the sales team on active and prospective customer accounts.
  • Maintain superior communications with customer accounts throughout the transaction process.
  • Participate in and approve website and social media outlets with Precise messages and announcements.
  1. HR Participation
  • Provide input for next hire requirements through staff discussions and interviews/selection processes.
  • Direct the training of new hires to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
  • Maintain all employee training files.

Desired Background:

My client seeks a candidate with managerial experience in MRO facilities and demonstrated sales success with an established customer base. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, organization, teamwork, a can-do attitude, task orientation, coachability, adaptability, professionalism, punctuality, and self-motivation with minimal supervision. Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desired. A college degree or commensurate experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office are necessary.
