CRi is seeking skilled and energetic candidates with an active Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult (QMHP-A) registration with the VA Board of Counseling to support individuals with mental illness residing in Loudoun County (Ashburn). CRi is seeking skilled and energetic candidates with an active Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult (QMHP-A) registration with the VA Board of Counseling to support individuals with mental illness residing in Loudoun County (Ashburn). The extraordinary person that accepts this opportunity will provide supports that empower individuals to achieve and maintain stability and independence in their community. The goals of the role and this program are to provide support that empowers individuals to:
- Increase or maintain skills and abilities to live as independently as possible;
- Connect in meaningful ways to their community;
- Have as much choice and control regarding their home and the services therein as appropriate to their abilities.
Available Shift
- Saturday & Sunday 8am-10pm AND 12 hours varied throughout M-F to total 40 hours (this position will NOT work 7 days a week/ the varied 12 hours are scheduled during the week based on the needs of the program) (40hrs Full Time)
- Annual Compensation: $53,371/yr
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Must be registered and in good standing with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-A
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be knowledgeable of the following topics:
- The nature of serious mental illness in adults
- Treatment modalities and intervention techniques, such as behavior management, independent living skills training, supportive counseling, family education, crisis intervention, discharge planning and service coordination.
- Clinical assessments and their use in service planning.
- Consumers' rights.
- Local community resources and service delivery systems.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication principles and techniques.
- Nutrition.
- General principles to record documentation.
- The service planning process and major components of a service plan.
- Should be in good physical condition for required lifting and physical intervention for hazardous behavior and assistance with care.
