Justification: There has been a change in Product for the UKG program (Corporate Time Keeping and Payroll), led by Office of the Comptroller. PeopleSoft Payroll will be used. We need a Project Manager with expertise in this implementation to lead the IT portion. Principal Duties: Looking for a PeopleSoft Payroll Project Manager to work within the EITS PMO (Program Management Office). Client will be launching a project to integrate PeopleSoft Payroll application with UKG. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for project management duties overseeing the PeopleSoft Payroll integration.
• Demonstrated experience implementing PeopleSoft Payroll projects in a project management capacity
• Functional and technical knowledge of PeopleSoft Time and Labor and Absence Management modules
• Experience with implementation and maintenance of an electronic leave management system including requirements gathering, testing, and post-production support
• Experience with the Implementation of electronic schedules, management of time worked, integration with electronic time capture, absence management, Clairvia (ideal, but not required) and payroll modules
• Experience coordinating business requirements and establishing system configuration and development timelines
• Experience implementing biometric scanning, hardware and systems installation and configuration and integration with PeopleSoft
• Formulates the project stream/program management plan, in accordance with the Product, budget, timing and quality as set by stakeholders
• Specifies the resourcing of the project, anticipated costs, risk assessment and quality standards to be used
• Leads the project team in terms of quality, spend, time, information and organization, monitoring progress and managing all assigned project resources
• Reports on issues and risks and may take ownership of same through to resolution
• Directs assigned project resources and gives them operational guidance, technically and organizationally
Minimum Qualifications: The Senior Project Manager within the Program Management Office require an individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills that will apply principles, techniques and best practices in the planning, organizing and implementation of high-profile and complex projects or programs. The right candidate must have experience preparing and managing project documentation, including Product, schedules budgets, and quality. This individual must possess sound judgement, professionalism and diplomacy.
General Tasks And Responsibilities Will Include:
• Formulates the project or program management plan, in accordance with the Product, budget, timing and quality as set by stakeholders
• Specifies the resourcing of the project, anticipated costs, risk assessment and quality standards to be used
• Leads the project team in terms of quality, spend, time, information and organization, monitoring progress and managing all assigned project resources
• Reports on Issues and Risks and may take ownership of same through to resolution
• Produces Project/Program Status Reports
• Continually follows up with internal and external project team members
• Directs assigned project resources and gives them operational guidance, technically and organizationally
• Potentially responsible for the direct management of Assistant Directors and Junior Level Project Managers
• Coaches and manages PMO staff and project team(s).
Preferred Qualifications for The Job:
CERTIFICATION(S)/NYS LICENSE(S):
• HEAVILY PREFERRED: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired
• Certified Scrum Master
Knowledgeable In:
• Budget Management
• PM tools, i.e. MS project, Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio
Other Preferred Skills:
• Experience working in a Hospital setting/Healthcare Organization
• Experience working in an Agile work environment
Educational Level:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison and inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions
Years of Experience:
• 8-10 years’ experience in IT Program Management
