Production Operator DS FAB 1st Shift

Your role and responsibilities
Adhere to all safety requirements and company policies Fabricates raw steel/copper to produce a finished product to the internal/external customer expectations Reads blueprints or similar documentation, then fabricates components to those specifications Uses various machines (Automated and/or Manual) to accomplish assigned tasks Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies Performs equipment preventative maintenance and performs basic repairs when needed Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; reports need to supervisor as required Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications For The Role
- 2 years of experience operating automated punches, lasers, or robotic/NC press brakes in a fabrication department. Trumpf, Salvagnini, Amada, Cincinnati, and Ehrt brands preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to use and interpret inspection tools â tape measure, calipers, and protractor
- Ability to read and interpret engineering bill of materials, machining drawings and models
- Knowledge of 6S â sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, and safety
- Knowledge and use of necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to use cranes, fork trucks, or other lifting devices, as needed
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40lbs
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language and good communication skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic instructions
- Basic computer and mathematical skills
- Hand, eye coordination skills and use of both hands
- 3+ yearsâ experience operating automated punches, lasers, or robotic/NC press brakes in a fabrication department. Trumpf, Salvagnini, Amada, Cincinnati, and Ehrt brands preferred
- Advanced analytical skills to enhance problem solving
- Advanced computer skills, mathematical skills, and communication skills
- Experience training others to operate fabrication equipment
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
