What You Will Work On
As a Senior Product Innovation Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the research and development of cutting-edge products from conception to retail, aligning with the needs of our accounts and consumers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
What You Will Do
- Ideation & Visioning: Generate innovative ideas to enhance performance-based products, fostering growth opportunities and maintaining a competitive edge in the market. Collaborate with product creation teams to conceptualize new product ideas across all Nike business units.
- Research/Engineering: Define testing protocols and scope to validate concepts, leveraging advanced consumer insights and technological expertise to develop revolutionary product concepts. Engineer prototypes and identify key elements of product construction materials and processes.
- Project Management: Lead innovation projects, orchestrating multidisciplinary teams to bring conceptual ideas to fruition. Overcome complex challenges with creative solutions, working closely with manufacturing and third-party vendors.
- Communication: Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and market concepts within the department. Facilitate the transition of technology to product through clear and concise communication of knowledge and best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8-9 years of directly relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced expertise in product innovation and development, with a track record of successful ideation and execution.
- Strong project management skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams and delivering results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Preferred experience in apparel design, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and familiarity with fitting processes.
- Previous experience with Nike products is a plus.
