Press Public Relations Officer

Democratic Party of Lee County is delighted to announce a rewarding volunteer opportunity for individuals passionate about communications, media relations, and public relations. We are seeking a dedicated Press Relations Volunteer to join our team and assist us in building strong relationships with media outlets and stakeholders.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop and maintain relationships with media professionals, journalists, and influencers to promote Democratic Party of Lee County's initiatives, events, and accomplishments.

- Draft press materials such as press releases, media advisories, and pitch emails to secure media coverage.

- Monitor media coverage and track mentions of Democratic Party of Lee County in newspapers, magazines, online publications, and social media.

- Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and media outreach campaigns in collaboration with the communications team.

- Assist in compiling media lists, researching media contacts, and organizing press materials.

**Qualifications:**

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with media professionals.

- Familiarity with media relations, public relations, or communications is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
