Photography Instructor

Established in 2003 in NYC, with thousands of happy students and a solid presence in NYC, PhotoManhattan Photography School provides excellent photography instruction to all levels, from hobbyist to semi professionals all year round.

We are looking for Photography instructors to teach in-person courses. For immediate start. Requirements:

• Teaching experience or ability to engage students, teach interactively, and work well with others in a friendly environment is expected.
• A photography-related degree is required.
• Ability to improvise and troubleshoot in a classroom setting and keeping up with technology, scheduling calendars, social media and new platforms are a must.
• Ability to teach iPhoneography and basic courses in Automatic mode.
• Long term weekly availability of at least 1 year.
• Availability for at least 2 evenings (after 6pm), and 4 hours on Saturday or Sundays.
  
  

Candidates will teach curriculums developed by PhotoManhattan by integrating their knowledge to PhotoManhattan's programs and teaching philosophy. Candidates will also be offered and encouraged to develop their own classes based on their own experience and preference.

Class schedules are variable and are mostly based on popular class times and on candidates availabiity. Instructors will be asked to provide at least 10 hours of of availability on their chosen days and times. These time frames will be used to automatically book new classes each quarter.

We recommend this position for candidates looking for predictable schedules throughout the year as well as flexibility of long term schedules. Compensation based on experience.
