The Product Marketing & Product Development Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the launch and ongoing development of our fragrance and fragrance ancillaries. This dynamic individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product development and marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness, drive sales, and deliver a compelling customer experience. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, managing and shipping product samples, coordinating with vendors, and communicating with and supporting cross functional partner's product development needs. This role is the first step to a career in product development and an entry-point into the world of creating new and innovative beauty products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Assist in gathering competitive intelligence, analyzing market trends, and identifying customer insights to guide product messaging and marketing strategies.
  • Product Development:
    • Oversee day to day product development operations (supplies, sample requests, shipping, updating product calendar & PD timlines)
    • Establish workload priorities to ensure all projects are managed within expected due dates
    • Assists in conducting competitive analysis and researching industry trends, new ingredients, textures, products, and packaging
    • Maintain and organize new product development process documentation, including new item setup and new sample tracking
    • Help to create and manage product briefs for new launches & reformulations
    • Interact directly with contract manufactures and formulators to brief them, track projects, and drive progress during the development process
    • Create and track project timelines for all new launches
    • Help to evaluate formula submission, provide feedback and redirects, and select submissions to be presented back to key team members
    • Oversee and support answering Customer/Consumer Service feedback for product related inquiries
    • Own process to provide samples to internal and external teams and retail partners
    • Owns product development meetings including scheduling and preparations
    • Takes the lead on product testing and feedback
    • Assist in regulatory tasks as needed
    • Support the development of product and retail education materials that can be shared with internal and external partners.
    • Manage product dossiers
    • Maintain and organize supplier submissions
    • Manage & create product comps for meetings and presentations
    • Participate in concept ideation and brainstorms
    • Assist in the development of new and innovative products
    • Provide general support to the Product Development & Production team
    • Assist the team with administrative tasks where needed, including organization of samples, our shared drive, note taking, budget tracking, and more
    • Communicate and work closely with all internal departments including Production, Brand Marketing, Ecomm, Finance, Creative, and Customer Service
    • Collaborate with the team to ideate new fragrance concepts and features.
    • Assist in generating marketing messaging that aligns with product positioning.
    • Participate in product testing and provide feedback from a marketing perspective.
    • Sales Enablement: Prepare product information and training materials to empower sales teams with the knowledge and selling tools they need to successfully promote fragrances.
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Track key performance metrics, analyze sales results, and contribute to marketing reports that inform future strategies.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • 3 Years of work experience or equivalent experience in Marketing or Product Development in fragrance, or other beauty categories
    • Passionate about everything product related and working with a fast-paced brand
    • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, think critically, manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines
    • Exceptional organization and time management skills with a meticulous attention to detail
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Personable and flexible with the demands of a growing business
    • Flexible and positive attitude; able to work independently and within teams
    • Willingness to travel domestically and Internationally
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Strong Process and Project Management Skills.

    Full time, salaried position

    Hourly Range: $65,000 - $75,000 Annually
