Part-Time Intellectual Property Law Clerk

Stites & Harbison, PLLC, a full-service law firm, has a great opportunity for a current law student seeking practical and hands-on experience in intellectual property law. The firm has an established intellectual property practice and is seeking candidates for a law clerk position on a part time basis to support the firm’s Alexandria, VA office. Responsibilities will include preparing and filing new patent applications and other prosecution documents, as well as supporting the intellectual property practice.


This is not an associate position, and established attorneys are not eligible.


This is also not a remote position and only candidates within commuting distance of the office will be considered. We offer a business casual atmosphere that promotes a positive work environment for all employees.


Qualifications:

  • Eligibility is limited to students enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school
  • Broad knowledge of, or interest in, intellectual property and technology law
  • Ideal candidate has a B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
