Liccardo for Congress is seeking an Organizing Director to serve as the campaign’s point of contact for on the ground volunteers and supporters. They will be responsible for directing the day-to-day organizing operations across California’s 16th Congressional District. The Organizing Director is responsible for building, planning and executing the campaign field plan, managing field staff, and all quantitative and qualitative field metrics. They are the main point of contact for all data in the district.
Responsibilities include:
Plan and execute field outreach strategy for the campaign in consultation with the campaign manager and operations team
Organize field team staff and volunteers to conduct voter outreach
Plan, schedule, and execute field events for the candidate to meet voters
Plan and execute canvassing and phone bank outreach
Employ digital tools to increase contact with the electorate
Management of campaign’s PDI database and other data
Qualifications and Requirements:
Have at least two cycles of field/organizing experience or comparable political or advocacy experience
Experience working in Bay Area politics or ties to Bay Area preferred
Basic understanding of targeting and organizing metrics
Current driver’s license and access to a car
Access to a computer and cell phone
Proficiency in PDI and Google Suite
Extremely strong staff management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Time management skills are a must
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Compensation: $7,000-8,000/month and health care stipend.
