Operations Analyst

PEG is seeking an Operations Analyst to support our client, a 100+ year old banking firm, on a direct hire basis. This company is located in Downtown St. Louis and is looking for someone for typical business hours Monday - Friday fully in office. You will be responsible for creating and managing data flow while evaluating the current processes- identifying risks and gaps that need extra attention.
 
What You Will Be Doing:
Responsible for documenting identified risks and controls
Conduct a thorough assessment of financial and information systems, record your discoveries, and propose measures to enhance system dependability and safeguard data integrity.
Execute operational risk-based reviews with multiple components
Gather and analyze data while reviewing the manual and automated processes
Review and approve Suspicious Activity Reports
Compile detailed reports - providing recommendations and communicating these effectively to senior players          
Work across various departments - communication is key!
Ensure systems and processes align with policies, procedures, laws and regulations
 
Who You Are:
2+ years of internal auditing and regulatory experience
Knowledgeable regarding risk and internal control concepts as well as rules and regulations
Experience with finance and accounting principles including financial markets and financial data analysis
Proficient with Microsoft tools, Visio and Smartsheet
Bachelors Degree in related field would be a bonus!
Eagerness to gain additional professional certifications and/or licenses
Strong analysis and reporting abilities - able to evaluate current processes and find gaps needing attention from a risk management standpoint
Able to communicate across many business lines in a professional manner
