Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The primary objective for this role is to lead the Bolthouse Farms sales strategy, Net Rev Growth, Gross Margin, and profit. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of developing and implementing the national and regional account plans for the Canadien & other US accounts. The position requires demonstrated sales success in the Produce and/or branded Consumer Packaged Goods Industry. The successful National Sales Director will find and develop new business opportunities; create value for customers which correlate to high customer satisfaction; develop and implement annual key account business plans; and maintain relationships across functions, business units and geographic boundaries (Marketing, Finance, and Operations). The National Sales Director prepares plans, presents to customers, and develops new business opportunities while becoming a consultant, negotiator, and partner to the business. The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of the major accounts business with outstanding analytical, account planning and influencing skills.

  • Drive profitable growth, as measured by attainment of plan sales goal, comp sales growth, positive comp contribution, and increased customer transactions
  • Researches, identifies, and develops new business development opportunities and devises methods to take advantage of these opportunities
  • Contract and negotiate annual agreements for major accounts
  • Provide business analysis and insight: Create weekly and monthly reports and forecasts
  • Develop ideas for new business initiatives and existing projects that will increase the profitability of the company.
  • Creation of short- and long-term strategies and plans for the development and roll out of new initiatives. Ensure that these initiatives can be converted into plans and programs that can be readily adopted/adapted by all departments
  • Continuously analyze current business portfolio. Identify product/services lifecycles and plans for portfolio components
  • Timely implementation of approved Bolthouse Farms Marketing programs as measured by profitable sales growth and increased customer count
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Continuously analyze and rationalize the current SKU portfolio
  • Timely implementation of approved Bolthouse Farms Marketing programs and attend tradeshows to drive sales growth, increase market share and customer base
  • Demonstrated success calling on Major Accounts in a Sales capacity
  • Develops the vision & long-term strategic plan (three-five years) for major accounts
  • Development of one-year, three-year plan and responsible for implementation
  • Addresses shortfalls and risks to plan for Account
  • Attain or exceed identified monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales volume goals
  • Represent the company in a highly professional manner consistent with the image of Bolthouse Farms
  • Responsible for the sales forecast for assigned customer
  • Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate should possess a BA/BS degree or equivalent training with 7+ years of experience in sales and experience in selling to produce departments is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience with a blue-chip fast-moving consumer goods company in progressively more senior roles; proven track record of results delivery
  • Experience in P&L/budget management
  • Exceptional presentation skills and experience presenting to VP and C level executives
  • Valid Driver License and clean driving record

  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple customers and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a high stress, multi-tasking environment
  • Natural aptitude for logical problem solving and analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities
  • Takes initiative and is proactive in a dynamic work environment
  • Proficient use of English language when speaking, reading, and writing
  • Must exhibit strong degree of professionalism
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred with 10-15 years sales experience
  • Managing Department 95 Beverage

Physical Demands

  • Up to 30% Nationwide travel
