What You Need To Know

The National Partnership Manager (Diversity) is responsible for supporting the growth of programs and activities that will ensure the fulfillment of patient needs. This position’s primary focus will be on diverse communities, with an emphasis on the Latino/Hispanic community. The Manager will identify, prioritize, and cultivate strategic relationships with external organizations that can help the Red Cross to create a strategy for a national blood program to secure volunteer blood donors and volunteers for biomedical services in targeted locations and influence donor turnout. These may include national and community organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), associations, businesses, and faith-based organizations. Also, the Manager will serve as an internal partner with other ARC business lines and teams to develop programs and strategies that expand current partnerships to include increased blood collections. The position can operate remotely.

  • In cooperation with management, oversee the organization-wide coordination of proactive strategic partnership identification, prioritization, and outreach.
  • Provide leadership with analyses and research which present an overview of the external environment and an understanding of the roles of potential partner organizations.
  • Help develop a streamlined, flexible process to implement and manage partnership agreements for use by the full organization.
  • Help ensure that strategic partnerships are maximized to support relevant lines of service and levels of the organization.
  • Manage a portfolio of partnerships that require stewardship.
  • Prospect and cultivate new relationships with key diverse national and/or multi-state organizations.
  • Typically has unit-specific duties within the scope of the job.

Pay Information

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $95,000.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Government, Public Policy Business Administration, Marketing, and/ or Communications.
  • 5 to 7 years of program management or project management experience.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience, preferably working with national accounts, partnership relationship management, sales, or fundraising.
  • Strong presentation skills, excel skills, PowerPoint experience, and project management. Negotiation skills are important, networking is important, sales background, communications, event planning, problem-solving skills, flexible could meet with sponsors after hours.
  • Some travel involved about 30%. Team meetings 1-2 times per year.
  • Will need to be able to work in the EST time zone.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking candidates preferred**

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Depending on the work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. This may include sitting for long periods, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.

Work Conditions: Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout

chapter jurisdiction, state, and the Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response

organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during periods of major disaster.
