Position Summary

As the mechanical engineer, you will be the core of the company’s development of its technology, working on all aspects of the company’s product design, throughout the product lifecycle. Leveraging your expertise in engineering you will act as a liaison between the senior management, customers, vendors, and other Strados Labs employees. You will work closely with the quality department, engineers, and other Strados Labs employees to ensure that Strados Labs Products meets the customers’ needs and technology expectations. Your decisions and contributions will have a direct impact on patient care, clinical decision-making, and the overall success of our products in the healthcare market.


Responsibilities

·      Assist with the design, development, and testing of the mechanical components of the Strados Lab’s products

·      Develop tooling and fixtures for manufacturing

·      Document development, testing, debugging and troubleshooting following company procedures, FDA guidance, and governing regulatory standards

·      Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to execute operating procedures, resolve malfunctions, and provide technical assistance

·      Adhere to company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes

·      Consult with senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of medical devices

·      Understand and follow company procedures and policies

·      Act as the mechanical design subject matter expert during audits

·      Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers

·      Must be hands-on, self-started, and can execute with minimal supervision

·      Additional responsibilities may be required and assigned by company managers as required




Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience working in mechanical engineering
  • In depth knowledge of electronics and plastics design and development
  • Proficient with 3D CAD development
  • Understanding of thermal, motion, and audio sensing preferred
  • Familiarity with the development and testing of adhesives preferred
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing and quality management processes, medical device background preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills


Work Environment Requirements

  • Hybrid work, with occasional meetings at a Strados Labs office.
  • Travel to clinical sites, conferences, or customer sites may be required.
