Mechanical Reliability Engineer - Redmond, WA

Job Description:

Meta is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join their team in Redmond WA! This position will be working onsite in a lab environment to drive mechanical reliability testing, failure analysis, system design analysis and characterization. This role will be tasked test design and execution of reliability tests, analyzing data and providing data driven recommendations based on experiment results. This position will play an important role in identifying trends from test data and ensuring the correct tests/measurement systems are in place. In addition, you will help assess dimensions and tolerances, help develop SOPs, design/implement procedures/tools to automate test sequences and oversee data collection and help in prototyping robust systems based off test data.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of reliability Testing and Equipment Experience (Shock, Vibration, Environmental, IPXX, UV, DIC, High Speed Video, Acceleration, Custom Fatigue Testing)
• 2 + years within lab-based reliability test design, and failure analysis
• Familiar with hardware systems, human/machine interfaces, and machine design
• Ability to create SOPs with high level of detail
• Automation experience (Arduino or similar platform)
• Experience testing Electro-mechanical systems
• Prior experience within Prototyping
• Experience with Siemens NX CAD, SolidWorks or Creo
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or similar Engineering degree
