Marketing Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing an industry leading 360° marketing strategy to help support and deliver against BYREDO business objectives in the Americas across wholesale, amenities and indie store distribution. The top candidate will develop best-in-class marketing and communications strategies to support and achieve business objectives in the region. Meet growth targets and contribute to overall brand goals across fragrance, makeup and ByProduct categories.

What you'll get to do:

Key Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Lead development and execution of 260 marketing plans for seasonal product launches, campaigns and evergreen opportunities in wholesale, amenities and indies.
  • Act as an extension of Global Brand Marketing to execute a winning marketing strategy, including co-op management (digital, social, print, visualization), events, launch cadence, assortment, sampling campaigns, new counter openings.
  • Collaborate with US colleagues to ensure consistent omnichannel brand footprint, streamlined communication to global and success across channels.
  • Act as key player on marketing team, managing global requests, local briefs, recaps, budget, forecasting, gifting, and other levers to ensure health of the business.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to coordinate and collaborate on all marketing-specific functions such as product launches, events, sampling, and other collateral (i.e. Training, VM, Global, Demand Planning, Wholesale, Retail, Ecommerce and external agencies).
  • Be a thought leader on marketing team, proposing creative and strategic initiatives, exploring new partnerships where relevant and supporting execution of brand awareness activations.
  • Lead all aspects of launch and brand initiatives ensuring excellence in execution (including but not limited to brand activations, wholesale trade marketing, PR, media, partnerships, amenities).
  • Partner with the head of Wholesale to craft and execute winning marketing strategy across in-store experience, events, campaign execution, VM, sampling, education, POSM, Paid Co-op/digital, CRM & CTA tactics, PR, partnerships and amenities.
  • Plan bi-annual market meetings, internal sales & strategy summits (including leading post market initiatives on behalf of marketing)
  • Support leadership in key decisions and planning through development of strategic presentations and recaps.
  • Manager forecasting process, working with demand planning, supply chain and distribution teams for all innovation and evergreen needs, proactively supporting phasing of saleable, non-saleable and promotional items.
  • Support team in executing region communications strategy in partnership with Global Comms and PR agency, including long/short-lead pitching, local events, seeding & gifting VIP initiatives, influencer targeting and partnerships.
  • Manage annual budget and strategy planning analysis.
  • Closely monitor sales and overall product performance to support category analysis and drive anticipation/reactivity.
  • Ensure a consistent level of desired customer experience across al doors and consumer touchpoints.
  • Stay up to date on luxury and beauty trends, acting as champion for change and success.


Operations:

  • Deployment of Global Brand Marketing vision through product launch, image/campaign, events and evergreen, in step with US targets and budget
  • Liaise with various cross-functional teams (Training, VM, Global) to coordinate and collaborate on all marketing-specific functions such as product launches, events, sampling, and other collateral.
  • Manage relationships and project management with agencies and third-party partners to ensure timely success, consistent communication and on budget deliverables (PR, Talent, Amenities, Media & OOH)
  • Explore new external partnerships, where relevant
  • Develop strong working relationships with Sales Operations and Demand Planning to develop accurate and strategic forecasts for new products, managing launch calendar and sku library.
  • Partner with greater Marketing Team to strategize and execute product launch and evergreen opportunities that drive Brand visibility and consistency across all channels, acting as trusted resource for information, partnership and support.
  • Work in partnership with independent wholesale account manager to drive business via brand relations, marketing plans, assortment, visual merchandising, sampling campaigns, co-brand content, in-store experience, and education.
  • Manage and oversee BYREDO amenity program (distribution strategy, assortments, and partnerships)
  • Drive POSM forecasting process, ensuring local alignment and timely summary for demand planning to meet sales goals and ongoing support of annual Brand, PR & Wholesale initiatives.


We would love to meet you if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, preferably within the prestige fragrance and beauty industry.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing best practices and industry trends
  • Omnichannel focus and orientation in approach to business priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills, adept at handling multiple priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective people management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor.



Compensation: As required by the New York City salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position is between $95,000-$100,00 annually. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
