Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 2

Location: Pontiac, IL

Position’s Contributions To Work Group

Responsible for supporting production processes and machines. Works as part of a team of engineers that develop and maintain manufacturing processes.

Typical Task Breakdown

• Assist machine operators with machine faults, recoveries, and setups
• Document process changes
• Maintain engineering documentation: Control plans, Tool lists, etc.
• Troubleshoot and correct causes for nonconforming parts
• Interaction with team:
• Largely independent work within a team of engineers
  
  

Work Environment

• Factory. Expected to be on the factory floor 50% of time
  
  

Education & Experience Required

• Bachelors in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or equivalent degree and 1+ years experience is preferred; will consider recent graduates
• Associate degree and 3+ years’ experience acceptable
• 8+ years’ experience with no education acceptable

Technical Skills:

• Experience with CNC machining
• Indicating a tool/part
• Demonstrated problem solving capability
  
  

(Desired)

• G-code writing capability
• Experience with precision grinding and/or honing
• CAM experience
