With extensive expertise in digital marketing and media, you will lead by example, showcasing a proven track record of successfully managing integrated marketing teams and driving revenue through same-store growth and new business initiatives. This role involves overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients and guiding a talented team of full-funnel marketers in both career development and day-to-day problem-solving.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $220,000 - $280,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus.

This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on a number of factors which include Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed and you must be an active employee in good standing and not on a Performance Improvement Plan to be eligible for the annual bonus.

  • This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions
  • While this position is remote-friendly, preference will be given to candidates based in the Central Time Zone, ideally in Chicago

You Will Be

  • Managing your respective Client Services team (15-20 people) along with their client book of business ($30-$40M) to provide the highest level of client care; overseeing their day-to-day activities and client relationships
  • Accountable for overall revenue growth, client profitability, as well as cross-selling opportunities to the existing client base
  • Implementing policies and procedures to ensure the Client Services team is meeting and exceeding goals
  • Strategizing and executing large-scale client marketing programs for a set of premiere clients
  • Providing executive leadership across the respective client book of business, and developing key relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers on the client side.
  • Collaborating with Strategy, Media Channel, Creative, and Technology teams to develop and implement integrated marketing solutions
  • Partnering with the Agency sales team during new business pitches
  • Providing real-time problem-solving for internal and external challenges that may come up; provide solutions to business and client roadblocks for the agency teams to efficiently and effectively deliver high-quality work
  • Building out team staff plans and collaborating with department leads to determine and optimize staffing needs.
  • Partnering with Project Management to problem-solve staffing challenges as well as to inspire regular communication flow between Client Services and Project Management teams
  • Responsible for the overall career development of the team
  • Conducting performance reviews and creating development plans for direct reports (3-5)
  • Motivating, recognizing, and rewarding outstanding performance both on an individual and team basis
  • Staying current on emerging technology changes and innovations through formal and informal study, business and professional publication consumption, networking, and participation in professional organizations; ensure the Client Services team is educated on this information
  • Participating with the management team to problem-solve company challenges and to work toward the achievement of company growth goals
  • Providing regular account updates to the Executive team

You Must Have

  • 15+ years of experience brand and performance marketing in digital channels – search (organic and paid), social, display, programmatic, and video
  • 10+ years experience leading and managing a team
  • Experience working with creative and development teams to produce an iterate digital assets
  • Ability to produce cohesive media plans and go-to-market strategies for complex clients
  • Experience managing direct-to-consumer, performance-based media.
  • Analytical and logical; standard strategic marketing skills (competitive assessment, industry analysis, SWOT, etc)
  • Solid and proven ability to lead and mentor a team
  • The ability to work in a team structure that fosters collaboration
  • An energetic attitude and be passionate for your career
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
