Manager of Strategy and Business Operations

What We Need

The Manager of Strategy and Business Operations is a key role in supporting the executive team to drive growth and margin improvement initiatives. This role will be an integral part of shaping long-term company strategy and documentation for the board and investors.

This position is also tasked with helping operate the company as a whole. Including translating company objectives into management and all team presentations, helping set company operating meeting cadences, preparation for strategic company offsites, among other activities. You will work cross-functionally with all company departments, including Ops, Merchandising, Finance, and Marketing, to operationalize and refine these initiatives.

NYC preferred, but open to remote work for EST timezone schedule.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate near and medium-term initiatives leveraging data analysis and financial modeling skills to size impacts
  • Develop and implement recommendations for cost-saving initiatives to hit monthly gross margin targets
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
  • Contribute to long-term company planning, establishing processes and framework for future growth
  • Prepare board materials and investor presentations on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Lead preparation of monthly internal business reviews
  • Upkeep and improve SOPs for business operations, ensure systems and processes run smoothly to achieve quality output and uniformity of performance
  • Support the COO/executive team on ad-hoc priorities and initiatives as they arise

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in a consulting, finance, strategy, planning, or analytics role; startup experience a plus
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented mindset
  • Clear, collaborative communicator; ability to streamline and synthesize copious information for various audiences
  • Entrepreneurial, intrinsically motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable
  • Ability to prioritize among myriad and shifting priorities
  • Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day tactical execution
  • Personal passion for and perspective on consumer products, particularly within the apparel/fashion realms

Salary + Perks:

  • $85,000 - $115,000 annually, commensurate with experience

The above represents the expected salary range for this role. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll take into consideration factors including your location of residence, experience, and other job-related factors.
