Manager, Marketing Process Improvement & Systems

Job Summary

The Marketing Process Improvement and Systems Manager will work in the center of the Harbor Freight Tools long-term growth strategy to develop marketing systems. They will support the project management system and foster process improvement to create a more streamlined, user-centric, and precise environment capable of accommodating 1200-2000 projects annually. They will collaborate with various teams within the organization, including, but not restricted to, Merchandising, Product Development and Packaging, Store Operations, Quality Assurance, Legal, and Compliance.


The Marketing Process Improvement and Systems Manager will play a crucial role at the intersection of systems and processes. They will work closely with Marketing, Merchandising and Process Improvement leadership teams to grasp the strategy, vision, workflow, and business requirements while also crafting solutions to enrich the experiences of end-users and stakeholders. As a subject matter expert in Workfront, they will remain up to date on releases and system capabilities, with a focus on harnessing improvements to boost team efficiency.


The ideal candidate should be highly knowledgeable about Workfront and have experience in different parts of creative and marketing operations. They should be experts in Workfront's Advanced Reporting, Resource Management, and System Administration and have experience in project management, packaging, manufacturing, marketing, and learning and development activities.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand all aspects of marketing strategy through the entire customer and project lifecycle
  • Work cross-functionally to identify, implement, and execute process improvement initiatives
  • Workfront Product Support
  • Collaborate with the Manager and Process Improvement team to ensure solutions support longer-term improvement initiatives for Marketing
  • Provide user support for questions and troubleshooting and escalate to management as needed within Marketing
  • Serve as subject matter expert to optimize user experience and functionality, implement changes, and communicate updates to business as needed
  • Actively manage projects within Workfront to ensure deadlines are met and critical projects are executed thoroughly
  • Keep aware of any roadblocks that are preventing project completion and escalate as necessary
  • Monitor the success of system and process changes post-implementation. Work through any updates required with Marketing, Merchandising and Process Improvement partners
  • Implement process improvements, including communication, standard operating procedures and/or work instructions to define product development workflows
  • Drive collaboration within the teams and inspire them to think innovatively
  • Conduct training with marketing and cross-functional teams to align on updated processes and ensure understanding and execution of improvements
  • Balance diverse requirements of various stakeholders and achieve agreement by addressing conflicting concerns and interests
  • Additional duties and special projects as assigned by management

Requirements

Education (Required)

  • Bachelors' Degree or Relevant Industry Experience


Skills (Required)

  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation
  • Willingness to ask questions rather than just follow directions is required
  • Proficient using standard Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Experience (Required)

  • 7+ years in project management, with skills necessary to interpret what is needed for the success of a project and to create appropriate schedules for timely delivery
  • 5+ with a project management system (e.g., Workfront)
  • Workfront-management experience a plus

The anticipated salary range for this position is $103,400– $155,800 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
