Learning & Development Manager (Remote)

Reports to: Senior Director, Learning & Development
Team Size: Individual contributor

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for working with multiple stakeholders to identify and implement training programs that support the growth and development of our associates. Manages the day-to-day planning and execution of the TPI Academy engineering curriculum and certification for over 500 engineers located in several TPI global locations (Mexico, Türkiye, and India). Works collaboratively with operational managers and technical subject matter experts to coordinate a systematic and regular execution of internally developed technical courses, which include virtual, classroom, and hands-on labs in composite manufacturing technologies. Focus is on key technical groups, such as engineering, quality, and production. Ideally, the L&D Program Manager will have experience in implementing adult-learning practices and instructional design methodologies and executing technical programs to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Manages the execution of TPI Academy Engineering curriculum, including instructor support, content review, coordination of resources, logistics, and participant management  
• Establishes and manages comprehensive technical knowledge and skills training programs based on adult-learning and instructional design best practices, incorporating innovative and effective techniques to ensure engagement of a diverse workforce and effective delivery of intended training objectives
• Engage with key stakeholders on quality training alignment, such as global repair training and quality inspector training
• Responsible for the overall quality and effectiveness of course content and delivery
• Supports and consults with regional technical training teams in the continued work towards global standardization of DL production training  
• Key contributor to annual training plan for engineers, to align with TPI Academy roadmap 
• Support Leadership Development program initiatives as needed
• Builds multi-modality educational offerings within TPI beyond traditional classroom and virtual learning, including development of online eLearning content
• Partner with Regional Engineering teams, HR Business Partners, Organizational Development, and other key stakeholders, to ensure the educational framework and deployment aligns with TPI strategy and direction. Make adjustments as required.   
• Conducts ongoing assessment of technical training courses to assess Kirkpatrick’s level 1-4 (reaction, learning, behavior, results) to verify quality and effectiveness of training programs, and prepares data driven reports for Senior Leadership
• Supports a culture of continuous improvement to identify ways to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate reporting and communication process
• Work with HRIS Learning Management Systems (LMS) associates on process flow, from course setup to roster completion 
• Work with IT PowerBI team to create monthly L&D dashboards for both TPI Academy and DL Production training

Minimum Education and Experience:

• BA/BS in engineering, education or learning related degree (Training and Development) discipline
• 3-5 years work experience in a corporate technical environment.

Required Skills and Education:

• Knowledge of instructional and curriculum design
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are a must
• Experience in needs assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Strong collaboration and ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Strong organizational skills and results oriented
• Independent thinker and problem-solver; comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment
• Solution oriented, proactive approach and attitude in resolving issues without compromising delivery commitments
• Experience in global organization 
• Technical background and experience required
• Persuasive communication skills
• Impact and influence of cross-functional and cross-geo stakeholder group; able to lead others in a matrix organization
• Ability to integrate formal learning into a highly technical environment 
• Experience in large scale composites manufacturing or similar manufacturing environment preferred but not required
