Manager, Finance Business Partner

Overview

Mastercard Technology (TECH) is the Business Unit that manages and innovates the Mastercard Network. We work tirelessly to engineer value added services like the data infrastructure with powerful analytics capabilities to boot the tech that powers real time payments, open banking, and fraud prevention.

This role will be part of a unique Finance Business Partner team within TECH Finance that is responsible for the company wide oversight of Internally Developed Software Capitalization. We are seeking a dynamic and outspoken individual that will implement strategies to enhance the processes and lead the evolution of the forecast process.

Role

  • Drives financial reporting across the organization
  • Provides financial insights to leadership, leveraging an advanced understanding of budgeting, long range planning and forecasting models
  • Partners with Finance teams to understand investments
  • Lead trainings
  • Partners with regions, product teams, technology providers and corporate entities to assist in developing, analyzing and validating new business opportunities.
  • Partners with Sourcing and technology providers to assess and execute vendor agreements, that range in size and complexity
  • Leverages the Technology Business Management [TBM] framework to understand demand for technology services and to manage product P&Ls
  • Assists with strategy and process improvements to ensure alignment with market objectives; proactively identifies ways to improve processes and executes agreed upon improvements
  • Supervises a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches top talent


All About You

  • Experience in Finance, specifically with forecasting and accounting principles
  • Track record to influence and drive effective decision making
  • Moderate level of understanding of automation tools (ie Power BI, Power Automate) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact, communicate and navigate effectivity with senior leadership
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to perform successfully in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities and assignments concurrently
  • Desired experience leading teams and/or participating on cross-functional teams and initiatives in a key contributor role
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a financial analysis role
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) or professional certification (CMA, CPA) a plus

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
