Olema Oncology is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of targeted therapies for women’s cancers. Olema’s lead product candidate, palazestrant (OP-1250), is a proprietary, orally-available small molecule with dual activity as both a complete estrogen receptor (ER) antagonist (CERAN) and a selective ER degrader (SERD). Palazestrant has been granted FDA Fast Track designation for the treatment of ER+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer that has progressed following one or more lines of endocrine therapy with at least one line given in combination with a CDK4/6 inhibitor. About the Role >>> Legal Intern

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Legal Intern, reporting to the Senior Director / Legal Counsel. As a Legal Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment and gain hands-on experience in the biotech industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative women’s oncology company with significant potential to transform breast cancer treatments. This position’s main focus will be on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts (taking into account data privacy regulations), with a secondary focus on general corporate activities. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the life sciences industry, hands-on learning, teamwork, have exceptional analytical and communication skills, and are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This position is an 8-week paid summer internship. The base pay is $22/hour and you will be working 40 hours a week in a hybrid workplace model with 2-3 days per week onsite at our Cambridge office.

Your work will primarily encompass:

  • Contract Administration - including working with our Contract Management System, drafting Confidentiality Agreements (with supervision), and assisting in compiling a data privacy clause book
  • Researching issues in corporate law, as needed, including employment law matters
  • Assisting in corporate governance matters, including certain SEC filings and disclosures

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school with at least one year of law school completed
  • Strong academic background with coursework in relevant legal areas
  • Interest in the biopharmaceutical industry, business law and data privacy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

The base pay range for this position is expected to be $22/hour . The pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
