The Learning and Development Specialist is an essential part of the Skechers Learning and Development team who supports the team’s goal of creating a culture of continuous learning, ensuring employees are equipped with the required skills and knowledge, driving both individual growth and organizational performance. The Learning and Development Specialist supports the creation and delivery of learning and development content for our retail, corporate or distribution center teams.

  • Working with the Learning & Development Sr. Manager, collaborates with key stakeholders, including HR partners and business partners to understand their needs and requirements for training and development.
  • Identifies development opportunities and creates tools to enhance employee skillsets and knowledge, fostering a highly skilled workforce that positively impacts productivity and business results.
  • Contributes to the Skechers content library by creating, reviewing, and enhancing learning materials to global standards.
  • Creates reference guides, training documents and e-learnings as needed.
  • Works on various technologies, including Workday Learning Management System (LMS), Canva, SOLE intranet survey tools, Articulate, and other tools as needed.
  • Loads and maintains LMS ensuring that training content is organized, accessible, and user-friendly for employees.
  • Generates reports and analyzes data related to LMS usage, course completion rates, and learner engagement. Shares insights to inform decision-making and improve learning outcomes.
  • Researches and makes recommendations for latest approaches to stay up to date with modern learning and employee development tactics.
  • Additional projects as assigned.

Education And Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Human Resources or Communication with an emphasis on written communication
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, Canva and Workday LMS preferred
  • Degree in HR or Communication-focused degree or relevant experience preferred

Salary for this position ranges between $60,000-70,000
