OPPORTUNITY

The Leadership Instructional Coach will play a critical role in partnering with district and school leadership to foster strong relationships that drive equitable instruction and academic success for all students. This position requires a deep commitment to equity, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making aligned to district and school instructional strategies and initiatives. This role will provide leadership coaching, develop and support execution of change management plans, and design and implement district-wide professional learning. The ideal candidate will possess strong instructional leadership and coaching skills, expertise in K-8 English Language Arts (ELA), and a passion for student achievement by supporting the professional growth of educators. The Leadership Instructional Coach will report to the Coaching Impact Lead and work alongside peer coaches.

TRAVEL

This role requires in-person coaching delivery at Philadelphia partners. On average, you can anticipate up to 10 travel days per month, which will fluctuate based on your portfolio of partners.

Responsibilities

Serve as a K-8 English Language Arts (ELA) instructional leadership coach for school and district leaders

  • Provide leadership coaching to school and district leaders aligned to subject matter and instructional priorities
  • Cultivate relationships to strengthen alignment between school and district leadership; support change management planning of key strategies and initiatives to accelerate impact in schools
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance equitable instruction and student achievement
  • Coach school and district leaders on effective backwards planning, standards-based instruction, and the use of data to drive student achievement
  • Engage stakeholders to address school inequities, analyze school data, and develop comprehensive support plans promoting equity and inclusion for all students
  • Design and lead professional development sessions for groups of school and district leaders, focusing on targeted outcomes and capacity building
  • Support the implementation and progress tracking of standards-based instructional materials and assessments, providing thought partnership to address implementation challenges
  • Work alongside ANet’s Sales team to ensure strong client engagement, conduct system reviews, and engage key decision-makers to define scopes of work and optimize service alignment
  • Develop tools, coaching strategies, and innovative ideas that improve ANet's ability to support schools and districts, aligning services with partner needs and priorities
  • Document progress notes, plans and deliverables in accordance with ANet and partner determined guidelines

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification, Elementary and/or Secondary English Language Arts (ELA)
  • Minimum 5 years of K-8 teaching experience; standards-based content knowledge
  • Minimum 7 years of school and/or district leadership experience; professional development facilitation and equity-centered teaching practices
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think critically, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships

Preferred skills:

  • Experience implementing and/or teaching Expeditionary Learning Curriculum

The salary range for this position is between $99,144-$148,716. New hires will start between the range minimum and midpoint ($99,144-$123,930) based on qualifications assessed during the hiring process, past experience, and internal equity. In order to uphold our commitment to transparent, equitable, competitive, and sustainable compensation, ANet does not negotiate pay.
