Pumpkin is looking for an ambitious and results-oriented Lead Recruiter to join our team! As a member of our Talent Acquisition team, you will be a critical driver of our talent acquisition strategy, responsible for managing the full lifecycle recruitment process for high-impact, complex technical and non-technical roles. Partnering with hiring managers and our leadership team, you’ll deeply understand our hiring needs, develop innovative sourcing strategies, and ensure we secure the best candidates to support our growth. As a passionate recruitment leader, strategic thinker and skilled connector, you’ll help elevate our hiring processes that drive growth, innovation, and organizational value.

This will be a hybrid position, with a minimum requirement of 2 days a week in the New York City office.

What You'll Do:

  • Spearhead recruitment efforts for critical roles including highly technical positions, complex/specialized functions and senior-level roles, ensuring delivery of top-tier talent to drive Pumpkin’s success
  • Lead effective full cycle recruiting processes: kick-off meetings with hiring managers, sourcing, candidate screens, navigate interview loops, facilitate panel debriefs, offer extensions, and onboarding hand-off
  • Facilitate seamless stakeholder management and collaboration, fostering strong relationships as a trusted advisor with hiring managers, leaders and peers
  • Inspire and motivate other team members by sharing your expertise, demonstrating a strong work ethic and providing feedback, coaching and guidance
  • Analyze and report recruitment data and metrics in order to make informed decisions about where to allocate resources, which sourcing channels to prioritize, and which recruitment processes require optimization
  • Lead the strategy for sourcing candidates through a variety of channels to build and maintain a robust talent pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of potential candidates for current and future openings
  • Own the candidate experience, creating a positive experience from the outset in order to contribute to higher levels of employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention
  • Leverage industry knowledge, benchmarking and insights to drive strategic talent acquisition, optimize recruitment processes, and position Pumpkin as an employer of choice


What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of specialized recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth, start-up environment
  • Background in managing complex searches across all business functions, especially in the technology space, from kickoff to close
  • Dedication to and ability to build strong, collaborative stakeholder, candidate, and internal peer relationships
  • Experience building high-quality and diverse candidate pipelines for full recruitment cycles, using creative sourcing techniques and relationships with a network of specialized talent
  • Skillful project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time
  • Highly analytical and articulate, comfortable leveraging data and market insights to drive alignment, create strategies, and influence where necessary
  • Clear, concise communication skills and comfort in presenting to and working with all members of Pumpkin
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate peers, foster team collaboration, and drive performance
  • Sound decision making skills with the ability to think strategically, intuitively solve problems, and adapt quickly to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth experience with ATS reporting (we use Lever), and G-Suite (ex- Google Sheets), including the ability to effectively and efficiently handle large amounts of data and translate that into digestible information

  • Mix of recruiting experience in both agency and in-house roles
  • Experience leading initiatives such as employer branding, colleague referral programs and candidate experience initiatives
  • Experience coordinating and leveraging social media and marketing channels for recruitment efforts

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,000- $130,000 (annually). Compensation may vary outside the listed range, based on a number of factors including but not limited to location, qualifications, performance, skills and experience. The compensation range listed is just one component of Pumpkin’s total compensation package for employees. Total compensation packages, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other short or long-term incentives. If hired, employees will be in an ‘at-will position’ and Pumpkin reserves the right to modify compensation (as well as any other discretionary payment or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
