About The Role

Quest Partners is seeking a Junior Equity Quant Trader to support equity systematic trading by improving execution research and helping to operate the 24-hour trading desk. We are looking for a practical data scientist with extreme interest in financial markets to help provide insights and improvements into our trading process. The role will work closely with the Head of Trading to further improve our global execution capabilities.

Please note that this would be a part of a rotational trading program that would include overnight coverage for Asia trading.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform Transaction Cost Analysis for all firm’s equity trading
  • Derive new signals to improve our automated execution systems
  • Develop tools to facilitate the trading and operational workflows
  • Communicate with the management about market events and trading activities

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any scientific field
  • Familiar with at least one of the common programming languages.
  • Basic knowledge of databases, Big Data and SQL
  • Ability to work with and drive insights from extremely large and noisy datasets
  • Passion for financial markets

The base range for this role is expected to be between $100,000 and $140,000. This does not include other aspects of compensation such as discretionary bonus and a competitive comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to a candidate will vary within the range above depending on factors such as qualifications, education, and skill level.
